Auxmir Rechargeable Wall Mounted Lighted Makeup Mirror, 8″ Double Sided 1X/10X Magnification.Ordered this for my wife.She was not sure what magnification she would prefer in a mirror 1X/8X or 1X/10X.We went with the 1X/10X magnification.It seems like her face is very close to the mirror when putting on eye makeup but she says it’s OK.I think the 1X/8X magnification would have also been acceptable to her.The best thing is it frees her hands from having to hold a mirror.

Easy to install. Charge holds for a very long time. Wonderful magnifying. Lights a bonus. Perfect addition to any personal bathroom. It’s almost impossible to tweeze eyebrows with glasses on or apply eye make up. It’s scary to see what I was missing all these years.

Item arrived as described. Nicely packaged and seems very sturdy. Love that we can just charge with usb (so sick of batteries). Folds flat against wall and we no longer have a mirror on the counter taking up space. Comes with a template for the install which is handy. The lighting options are a plus. Have to recommend this ?

I ordered the chrome rechargeable option. It is smooth, bright chrome made of fairly heavy metal. It looks really nice. The mirrors are high quality. The lights are cool, but not essential if you have other bright lighting. The unit comes charged up, so I have not recharged it yet. The only real negative is the swivel joints are a little stiff and don’t move as smoothly as I would like. But, this may improve over time. I tried loosening the hex bolts within the joint, but they were tight and I didn’t want to force it. Installation was easy, though the instructions say the included screw anchors are only for concrete. So, if you are screwing into drywall, you may want some other anchors. TIP: Screw anchors usually don’t fit completely flush with the surface of a wall. So, when you install the mounting plate, it may rock slightly back and forth as you move the mirror arm around. Over time, this may loosen the mount, especially if its mounted on drywall, as mine is. To fix this, I fashioned shimes about 1/32″ thick and put them between the mounting plate and the wall. Now, everything is nice and tight with no movement, Or, you could counter-sink the wall slightly so the anchors fit flush. Another comment: I find the 10x mirror to be too much magnification. One needs to get within 3 and 1/2 inches from the mirror, or distortion appears. This is not a criticism of this mirror because almost all of them available are 10x. And, this may be no problem for other people. But, in hindsight, I probably would prefer one with 7 or 8 power. All in all, however, this is a very good quality mirror which looks great on the wall and works pretty well.
