Exactly what I was looking for!! They’re perfect for samples. I don’t know why these types of tins typically aren’t available in white, so I’m glad I found these. I like using aluminum over plastic, particularly because I can put them directly onto my hotplate instead of having to transfer product from beaker to container.These arrived packaged really nicely, including little mesh bags and applicator spatulas, which was a nice touch.The tins themselves feel durable, work well, don’t leak, and the lids open/thread easily. If you get containers with difficult or noisy lids, apply a bit of silicone lubricant or dielectric grease to the threading.Having used a number of other similar aluminum tins, I believe these may use thicker aluminum as they feel much sturdier, but that could also be due to the size. They aren’t prone to denting like the larger ones. Otherwise, they look & work much like most other aluminum tins — no surprises.Before buying, please note that these are VERY small. I was honestly surprised at how truly tiny they actually are when I opened the package, which in my case is a good thing, but they definitely won’t work for all applications. They’d be okay for really, really small amounts of product, like eye shadow or compact liner, or to hold really little trinkets (e.g. perfect tooth fairy tins), but 5ml of something like lip balm would not last long at all, so I’d suggest using a bigger container for that (15ml is standard).$9 for 30 tins is slightly expensive for 5ml, but not bad enough to prevent me from coming back for more. I only wish I could get more of them at a time!
