   I’m not using this for the shower, but am using it to replace a small mirror with a handle that I used when cutting my hair and when shaving – but that mirror was dropped and broke. If this mirror lives up to it’s “unbreakable” claim, in my mind that would make it worth the higher price when compared to the $6 it would have cost to buy a mirror which was identical to my old one. It sounds like another reviewer dropped this mirror and it didn’t break, so that will definitely be an advantage. My old mirror was dropped once and broke, and made a decent mess when it broke (cleaning up busted glass is never fun).This mirror is crystal clear, and comes with a metal hook which is adhesive-backed that can be used to hang the mirror. The 10.6″ x 7″ size provides more viewing area than I expected, which will be useful when using the trimmer on the back of my head / neck. It is of course plastic (the product page says plexiglass), but it doesn’t seem like it scratches easily or anything of that nature. Overall a solid product.

   I was using a suction shaving mirror, but had to take or down after shaving or I would hear crash in the middle of the night! For the new house, I decided to go with something more permanent, hopefully! This mirror uses a peel and stick hook, the stick by 3M which makes me feel better. It is new, clean porcelain tile I’m adhering to, so adhesion can’t get any better than that. The mirror is the perfect size, reflection is a smooth and clean as glass, no distortion. It is very light, like plastic, no glass feel and I dropped it on purpose to make sure it wouldn’t break, which it didn’t. As far as anti-fog, so far so good, but the ad did not mention this feature. Our bathroom is quite large, so it would take a colder day before I would notice anything. The last anti-fog mirror I had, had to be constantly recoated and was a pain, it is easier just to spray hot water on the mirror just before shaving and that worked fine for the past two years. If I end up doing the same with this mirror, that’s fine! The only con is that it isn’t a real elegant-looking mirror, but price and functionality are perfect.

   Everyone needs a portable mirror at times, whether for travel or general use. This one is a nice balance between size (10 x 7″), weight (couple of ounces), and function (works exactly like any mirror). It may be a little larger than a compact that goes into your purse or backpack but the extra size gives you a complete view – face and upper torso. The fact that it’s unbreakable is a huge plus.It’s kind of hard to take a picture of a mirror without reflecting everything back but as you can see, it looks and reflects like any standard mirror. There is a hole for hanging the included hook (sticks to a surface using 3M adhesive) but I don’t intend to hang it. For either portable or on-the-go use, this mirror should give worry-free usage for many years.Pros: lightweight, unbreakable, as reflective as any standard mirrorCons: None

   When this arrived at first I thought the box must be empty, but there it was, flat against the bottom of the box…and nothing else but paper packing. I somehow had pictured the mirror as being kind of heavy, perhaps even a little clunky, reflecting my past life mirror experiences. But this one is neither!What it is turns out to be some VERY shiny plastic about 1/8″ thick with the admonition that it is covered with a protective plastic film that you can see through, but that the reflection will be murky until you remove the film. Once I did that, the whole room brightened up. Amazing!I’d have to say that I’ve never had a mirror with a reflection as crisp and clear as this one provides, and does it at a most reasonable price. The reason, in engineering terms, is that it is a “front surface mirror”, which means that the reflection doesn’t pass through a layer of glass, bounce off the reflective surface (usually the back of the glass) and passes through the glass back to you. The fuzzing of the image is caused by the light bouncing back and forth between the reflective back and the front layer of the of glass sometimes hundreds of times.Front surface mirrors are used in precision optics, and this mirror will no doubt soon be discovered in schools and colleges that have heretofore been soaked by the expensive treatments necessary for scientific-quality mirrors used in their courses.With this mirror, you get the straight reflection without the glass messing with clarity. I LOVE the reflection it gives…compared to our quite expensive bathroom mirror, it’s reflection much clearer (believe me when I say you can see every whisker, wart and skin cell with it) and side by side the image is quite a bit brighter.But there’s a price to pay for front surface mirrors. They seem to have the ability to reach across the room and collect finger prints (just joking, of course). The surface is easily scratched or marred and it readily collects dust, something the glass in a common mirror protects against.Happily, this mirror is quite inexpensive, and can be replaced whenever you get sick of all the damage it has collected. This mirror is flexible, light and gives reflection quality that most people out of technical professions and science educators never get a chance to experience.If you want or need a portable mirror, this one is near ideal especially if travels and is stored in a protective bag. It weighs next to nothing, so it can go camping without taking hardly any room becoming a weight burden.I give this mirror an A+ or higher because of it’s image quality, lightness and portability, even though it won’t replace common household mirrors because of its size (it’s pretty small) and obvious fragility.
